Synopsis: Isabelle Scott and Mirabelle Monroe are still reeling from the revelation that they share more than just the roof over their heads. The media has pounced on their story and the girls are caught up in a flurry of talk-show appearances and newspaper interviews. They've put on a happy public face, but someone is leaking their true feelings to the press. While it seems like the world is watching their every move, at least they have each other.

But with cotillion season right around the corner, Izzie and Mira have barely had time to process their newfound sisterhood. Mira has always dreamed of making her debut in a gorgeous white gown - now if only she could find an escort. Izzie, meanwhile, is still struggling to find her place in Emerald Cove, and it's seeming ever more impossible with EC mean-girls, young and old, doing their best to keep her down. As cotillion preparations heat up, though, there are dance steps to learn, manners to perfect - and secret initiations to complete. As if sophomore year wasn't hard enough!

It's time for the gowns to go on and the gloves to come off.

My Thoughts: I just love this series. Izzie and Mira are amazing characters. The Monroe family has gone threw many changes in the past few months and they just can't seem to get a break. There is lots of drama and scandal in this installment and i relished every minute of it.  Everyone is coming to terms with the truth about Izzie's place on the family tree all the while planning for cotillion and the coming election.

Izzie continues to struggle socially at school. She is participating in cotillion and the service club social butterflies in an attempt to solidify her place in Emerald Cove's socitey. The odds seems to be against her. Threw it all Izzie finds an ally in an unlikely place. Mira is facing struggles of her own. She is forced to chose between her best friend and her sister. Mira is keeping a secret from everyone and when the truth surfaces she doesn't know who she can trust.

Julia Whelan did an great job during this single voiced production. The original work is very appropriate for audio adaptation. Whelan differentiated each character by tone, tempo, inflection, and gender. I found it easy to identify which character was speaking. I enjoyed Whelan's use of a southern accent, which sounded authentic. The pacing is fitting and maintained throughout the production. I didn't have any issues with the volume or sound with this audio. This is an unabridged format is fitting for this story.
